Quality assurance in food production had become important even before the appearance of BSE. Qualiproof®, a product of the Qualitype AG, has been specifically developed for this field. It facilitates quality assurance and monitoring of foods originating from animals. The integrated control system is web based, and therefore easily accessible from any computer with an Internet connection. It works objectively to the interests of the individual members, minimizes administration efforts and is secured by an international bank standard.
The system is unique in its structure. Shortly after its introduction to the market it was recommended for a nationwide use by the Lower Saxony salmonella control program as well as several independent control institutes. PigRelease is the first module of this product group which was introduced to the market. By now it is used throughout Germany. Qualiproof® PigRelease serves as salmonella monitoring tool for pig producing companies for different initiatives on a state as well as federal level. Further modules are available for zoonosis monitoring and organ evaluation of different production animals.
